Jet2.com Greek programme expanded by over half a million seats for Summer 2020
Jet2.com is demonstrating its commitment to Greece, by announcing a hugely expanded Summer 2020 programme with six brand new Greek destinations, over 220 peak weekly flights, and 18 new routes on sale.
This expansion means that it will operate to 14 Greek destinations in Summer 2020.
The new destinations are Mykonos, Skiathos, Santorini, Kalamata, Preveza and Lesvos, with weekly and multiple weekly services operating from several of our UK bases.
With Corfu, Heraklion, Chania, Kefalonia, Kos, Rhodes, Halkidiki and Zante already on sale, the addition of six new destinations to our programme underlines Jet2.com’s commitment to Greece, its economy, and its tourism industry.
As a result of this expansion, it will operate over 220 peak weekly flights in Summer 2020, an increase of more than 50% and over 70 new weekly services.
With multiple weekly flights to many Greek destinations, this means holidaymakers can enjoy complete flexibility over how long they choose to holiday for – a move which Jet2.comholidays pioneered ten years ago so that customers can choose holidays of any duration to suit their budgets and needs.
In addition to this, Jet2.com.com is recruiting colleagues to support its expanded operation and is continuing to work in partnership with hoteliers and the Greek National Tourism Organisation to attract holidaymakers to the country.
The announcement means half a million additional holidaymakers can travel to Greece on a Real Package Holiday with Jet2.comholidays, the UK’s second largest tour operator. Unlike other holiday companies, when customers book with Jet2.comholidays they get to enjoy its VIP customer service, with Jet2.com.com flights, transfers to and from the airport, and a choice of 5,000 2-5 star hotels included.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com.com and Jet2holidays said: “Since we started operating to Greece, our commitment to this fantastic country has been constant and unwavering. Today’s announcement underlines that commitment, meaning that in Summer 20 we will fly over half a million extra holidaymakers to Greece and her islands. With six brand new destinations, 14 destinations on sale in total, and significant investment to support this growth, today’s announcement is a clear sign of just how committed we are to Greece. We look forward to many more years of success in Greece, working in partnership with hoteliers and the Greek National Tourism Organisation to deliver this.”
Harry Theoharis, the Minister of Tourism for Greece said: “We are very pleased that a major Tour Operator like Jet2.com.com and Jet2.comholidays has expanded its offering of Greek destinations and has chosen to become a Greek specialist. This proves that Greece is a destination that offers a unique experience for our guests and enormous opportunities for our partners.”
Alexander Zinell, CEO of Fraport Greece said: ‘‘The development of our airports is directly linked to the growth path of airlines with vision and consistent strategy. Jet2.com.com is undoubtedly such a partner and thus I am delighted that it enhances its presence at Fraport Greece airports. I welcome Jet2.com.com’s decision to further invest in Greece and I feel confident that this decision will be rewarding.”
